The Records, Evidence and Building Maintenance Units fall under the supervision of the Administrative Captain.

Efficiency and progress in the Records Division may be measured by the speed in which information and statistics of our agency may be retrieved.  With our computer system and paperless reporting, we have moved light years ahead of the old method of looking up crimes and cases on index cards.

Our agency reports statistics through the National Incident Based Reporting System (NIBRS) via the Tennessee Incident Based Reporting System (TIBRS).  In order to maintain our TIBRS certification, the reporting error rate forwarded to the state must be less than 4%.  The agency’s error rate is normally less than .04%.  This is an incredibly low number for the quantity of reports submitted by an agency our size.

In addition to electronic reporting, crash reports may be obtained online through Doc View LLC at

We continue to strive for improvement, always searching for new techniques, equipment, and training to enable us to serve the public in an efficient and professional manner.

Building Maintenance:

Maintenance of all the Sheriff’s Office facilities and grounds is the responsibility of the maintenance personnel.  These employees are responsible for the repair and upkeep of the main office, correctional facility, training facility, and, if necessary, some aspects of the courthouses.
